Malware, bitcoin and phishing: US indicts 12 Russian spies in 2016 election hack

A grand jury in the U.S. today returned indictments against 12 officers in the Russian military accusing them of accessing information stolen from the Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2016. The indictments are part of the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into alleged interference by Russia in the 2016 presidential election.
