Electron – the widely used desktop application framework that renders top programs such as Slack, Atom, and Visual Studio Code – suffered from a security vulnerability that needs patching. That means the applications relying on Electron need updating, and these updates have to be pushed out to users to install so that they can avoid being hacked.
