In September 2017, the IT security researchers at Armis found eight zero-day vulnerabilities in Bluetooth protocol. Dubbed BlueBorne by researchers, these vulnerabilities affected millions of IoT and Windows, Linux, iOS and Android-based devices when their Bluetooth was enabled.
