A survey of nearly 700 CISOs in the US and Canada has found that salaries have risen over the last year to an average of $565,000 and a median of $403,000, with the top 10 percent of execs pulling in over $1 million. (That’s about £426,000, £304,000, and £754,000, respectively.) The data showed that by far the most effective way to boost your pay was to switch jobs, or at least threaten to, and get a counter offer from your original employer.
