Apple’s latest iPhones support a new breed of Apple AI called Apple Intelligence, a collection of artificial intelligence (AI) tools that will be made available across the company’s platforms starting in October with the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. Apple Intelligence supplements Apple’s existing machine-learning tools and relies on generative AI (genAI) technology similar to that used by OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
