Unit 42 researchers discovered a new vulnerability in QNAP devices on 7 November 2023, which was confirmed by the vendor on 19 December 2023, and a security advisory was released subsequently to provide guidance and recommendations. Palo Alto Networks Unit 42’s Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP) and telemetry systems identified a new zero-day vulnerability in QNAP QTS and QuTS hero firmware from the vendor QNAP.
