New York-based non-profit health providers Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and Carthage Area Hospital have sought legal action to recover data stolen from a ransomware attack months ago from Massachusetts-based cloud storage provider Wasabi Technologies, WWNY-TV reports. Wasabi Technologies was unaware that data stolen from both health providers have been stored on its server, according to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and Carthage Area Hospital CEO Rich Duvall, who added that stolen data from other organizations were also within Wasabi’s systems.
