Major video game publishing firm Ubisoft has disclosed that it has begun investigating an alleged security breach of its systems following claims of attempted data theft in vx-underground, reports The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future. Ubisoft, which is behind the Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia games, had its systems and accounts claimed to be infiltrated for nearly 48 hours by threat actors, who sought to exfiltrate almost 900 GB of data, before having their efforts thwarted after the company allegedly revoked their access, according to vx-underground.
