Seventy percent of gas stations across Iran had their services disrupted by a cyberattack, which has been claimed by Israel-linked hacking group Gonjeshke Darande, or Predatory Sparrow in Persian, reports CNBC. Such an attack was conducted in retaliation to the aggressive moves by Iran and its affiliates across the Middle East, said Gonjeshke Darande in a series of posts on X, formerly Twitter, which also threatened Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei while emphasizing that it would minimize intrusions impacting civilians.
