The Government of Canada has instructed government employees to immediately uninstall WeChat and Kaspersky apps from their smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Canada has banned the Chinese messaging app WeChat and the Russian antivirus software Kaspersky from government devices, citing privacy and security concerns.
