Google, George Mason University Team Up to Groom Students Into Cybersecurity Professionals

Google has signed an agreement to provide George Mason University students access to select cybersecurity and artificial intelligence training and certification programs on the company’s cloud platform. Christian Michael, public sector training lead at Google Cloud, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday the partnership aims to help fill talent gaps in the cybersecurity industry, a shortage that is projected to reach 3.4 million people by the end of this year Under the agreement, George Mason students will have the chance to earn a Google Cybersecurity Certificate, which will enable them to connect with 150 employers from the industry.
