Video game developer Activision Blizzard has disclosed having been impacted by a more than 10-hour-long distributed denial-of-service attack over the weekend, resulting in the prolonged disruption of its games, including Diablo IV, Call of Duty, and World of Warcraft, according to The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future. Such a DDoS attack, which was confirmed to have been mitigated by Activision Blizzard late Sunday, comes after the company reported earlier this year that its internal systems have been compromised through a phishing attack against an employee, as well as a DDoS attack last September.
