SolarWinds’ chief financial officer and chief information security officer have been told they—along with the company—could face civil enforcement action in the wake of the notorious 2020 Orion breach. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday, SolarWinds said “certain current and former executive officers and employees, including the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Security Officer” had received “Wells Notices” as part of the SEC’s investigation into the breach.
