Norton parent firm confirms impact from Clop MOVEit attacks

Gen Digital, the parent company of Norton Lifelock, has confirmed that some of its employees had their personal information compromised after Norton Lifelock was listed by the Clop ransomware operation to be impacted by the widespread attacks involving the exploitation of a vulnerability in the MOVEit File Transfer app, according to WFXG-TV. Included in the employee data stolen by Clop were names, ID numbers, and company email addresses, as well as birthdates and home addresses, but Gen Digital emphasized that the intrusion has not affected any of its systems nor has exposed any customer or partner information.
