Atomic Wallet loses over $100M in Lazarus Group heist

Reuters reports that Atomic Wallet had more than $100 million stolen by the North Korean state-sponsored threat operation Lazarus Group in a cryptocurrency heist earlier this month. Lazarus Group was able to exfiltrate the cryptocurrency assets from over 5,500 digital wallets, according to a report from Elliptic, which noted that the Atomic Wallet theft is the group’s largest operation since stealing nearly $100 million from U.S.
