BleepingComputer reports that hacktivist operation Anonymous Sudan has claimed to have launched a distributed denial-of-service attack against the Microsoft Azure Portal amid outages experienced by the portal. Azure Portal began showing error notifications upon access at nearly 15:00 UTC on June 9, according to Microsoft, which added that it was already able to identify a possible root cause for the disruption and has been looking to mitigate the issue by 16:35 UTC.
