Google has extended passkey support, previously only available to consumer Google account holders, to enterprise users with the open-beta launch of the feature for accounts on Google Cloud and Google Workspace, according to TechCrunch. Google has been one of the major proponents of switching from passwords to passkeys, as it is more convenient for users to employ the same login security measures that they already use on their own devices to log in to websites and apps, with the added security measure of needing physical access to those devices.
