Data breaches and exfiltrations experienced by Fortune 1000 companies across 21 different sectors have increased by 7% year-over-year, SiliconAngle reports. Credential pairs with companies’ email addresses and plaintext passwords totaled 27.48 million, over 223,000 of which have been compromised by malware and have enabled access to over 56,000 cloud-based apps, a SpyCloud report revealed.
