The security of data in the cloud has prevented many companies from moving sensitive workloads to the cloud. But cloud providers and chip makers are hoping to tackle that concern with “confidential computing.” The concept revolves around protecting the data when it is moving between systems, at rest in storage, or being processed in servers or in the cloud.
