Don’t let the American Data Privacy and Protection Act Fizzle Out – Vote

Data Privacy To date in the US: Data Privacy legislation in the US is a patchwork quilt of different statutes and requirements.  One of the earliest data privacy legislations passed in the US was in California known as the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA).  This was based loosely on the data rights outlined in another piece of legislation pass in the European Union known as the General Data Privacy Regulations (GDPR).
