Facing pressure from the Russian government, Telegram today agreed to store information on its message app users on that country’s servers, according to a Reuters report. Although Telegram will now be listed as a distributor on a Russian government list, the company said it will not violate its user privacy and confidentiality policy when turning over basic company information, says Telegram’s founder Pavel Durov in the Reuters report.
