Cossack Labs has released version 0.90.0 of its flagship open-source database security package Acra, and has made many of its security capabilities previously only available to commercial customers free in Acra Community Edition. The capabilities of Acra allow for the installation of application-level encryption in modern cloud services, as well as a tighter grip over the lifespan of critical data.
