The risk of cybersecurity failure has been named as a major risk facing the world both in 2021 and beyond according to the Global Risks Landscape 2021 report published by the World Economic Forum. While infectious diseases, referring to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic topped the “clear and present dangers” short-term risk (0-2 years) chart, cybersecurity failure ranked fourth in a poll among WEF members.
