Security and agility are often viewed as opposing forces. While DevOps is inherently geared towards removing as many barriers as possible to shorten application development lifecycles and provide continuous delivery with high-quality software, security teams tend to be more cautious, taking time to rigorously test all new services and applications to ensure there are no weaknesses that could pose a risk to the organization.
