Regulatory focus on data privacy and protection of sensitive information has led to the passage of laws such as General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act. While the enforcement of those laws may not have been widely felt yet within the enterprise world, that doesn’t mean the day of reckoning isn’t coming.
