Connected devices, commonly referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT), potentially represent a large risk to the safety and security of the internet as whole, if not properly secured. That was the key message that David Tarditi, principal software engineer lead for Microsoft Azure Sphere, conveyed during a session at the Open Source Summit in San Diego, California on August 22.
