Security analytics and automation vendor Rapid7 today announced its acquisition of NetFort, a network monitoring company. Rapid7, which over the past few years has evolved from a vulnerability scanning and management vendor to a provider of security analytics, orchestration, and automation for prevention and detection of attacks, plans to fold NetFort’s network monitoring and analytics technology into the Rapid7 Insight service.
