Critical flaw lets hackers control lifesaving devices implanted inside patients

Even in the unlikely scenario that an unauthorized user may be able to access the wireless technology, that access does not equate to the ability to control or manipulate the settings of an implanted heart device. An unauthorized user would need comprehensive and specialized knowledge of medical devices, wireless telemetry, and electrophysiology to fully exploit these vulnerabilities in order to harm a specific patient.
