Carbonite has announced an agreement to purchase Webroot, bringing endpoint and network protection to Carbonite’s cloud-based data protection services. The deal, valued at approximately $618.5 million, will be an all-cash transaction paid for from Carbonite’s cash on hand and funds from a new credit facility.
